About IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized test for assessing English language proficiency. It is widely accepted by universities, employers, and governments in English-speaking countries for study, work, and migration purposes.

Test Format

4. Speaking: 11–14 minutes

Scoring

• Band scores range from 1 to 9 for each skill.
• An overall band score is calculated as the average of all four sections.
• Most universities require a score between 6.0 and 7.5.
